bff
I talked to my best friend this morning. We have known each other since we were 9 years old, have shared almost everything about our lives. I am thankful for such a friendship. Not once have I sensed mistrust, or distance between us. We sometimes go months without seeing each other or calling, but we email at least once in a while. When we do talk it is as if we pick up exactly where we left off not missing a beat. We both strive to keep the friendship going, in spite of it all.....She lives in Texas and I live in a neighboring state. We lived on the same street growing up. I moved in at the end of the block. We met out in the street on our block and we were instant friends. She is more like a sister, her whole family is my family.
I feel very blessed.
I feel very blessed.
The cat is still alive, has more than nine lives!
After I posted the mouse flavored story, the very next week, my husband and the cat met face to face...well, sort of.. The cat looked at my 'h' with his head cocked to one side and based on the long, lingering look, seemed to be telepathically (sp?) saying..."Well, what are you gonna do about it Mr.?" The challenge was on! My 'h' had his own tele'p' going on...no words, just a staredown that really was intense and funny at the same time. We go in the house and let the dog's out side and all of a sudden, he head's for the door and exclaims...."I've got it!" I'm gonna stop that cat from messin in the flower bed and I know just what will work! I was settled in and did not give it much thought (since I have heard this before). The next morning, leaving for work, I notice many sticks, limbs from our huge tree in the front yard, stacked in a messy sort of "just learning how to basket weave" sort of way in the flower bed! I think to myself, "Ok, maybe 'h' has solved one problem, but uh, I think we now have a new problem....looks pretty tacky, but hey, I like fragmented, crazy stuff, so I will go with it......I do believe it has worked, and Mr. Cat is NOT happy about it.....he actually seems angry,,,,,like I am gonna catch you off guard one of these days MR. and attack you kinda cat angry thing goin on.....but so far....no little surprises left in the flower bed, just a cat wandering back and forth when we get home giving us dirty cat looks! Ah.....I some how think that the cat will figure something out....and soon.....

Why don't they make mouse flavored cat food?
One of my neighbors has a cat. He loves our front flower bed and it is his own personal kitty litter area. This has been on going now for about 4 years and for 4 years I have had to listen to the rantings and continued empty threats upon the termination of the cat in some form or fashion and a colorful splash of cuss words from my husband. When we arrive home from work, it is not uncommon to see the cat sitting near his private potty, preening and primping and looking rather content until he sees us pull up and then he runs to his "invisible safety zone" as if to think we will not cross into his territory, and he is right. I think for my husband who actually is very fond of all animals, it is so annoying and disgusting and just brings out the worst in him. We have known the neighbor for over 20 years so they are more like family and they know what the cat is doing and what my husband is doing.......Poor hubby has not a chance because the rest of us look at the two of them as if we are looking at a comic strip happening in real time. I told my husband this and his response was one more rant and empty treat upon the termination of the cat with a splash of cuss words as we walk in the door one more time after the cat has done his business. Note: I realize that the title does not necessarly match the contents written, but I just love that quote! Not mine, sorry to say, but a great one.....

Acknowledgement
I wish I could take the credit for the title of my blog but someone I know, who is extreamly gifted in word and thought mentioned something about dancing skeletons and it was just the perfect title. So it begins.....
